Takasha is an only child born in Greensboro, Alabama. However, she was raised in a single parent home by her mother, in Marion, Alabama. By the age of ten, Takasha and her mom moved to Selma, Alabama.

At age twelve, Takasha was sexually harassed and assaulted. Because of fear of her attacker, she did not have the courage to tell until the age of thirteen. By age fifteen, she was intrigued and wooed into the lifestyle of the drug dealers in her hometown and began dating them, not understanding or knowing what the consequences of this lifestyle would mean. Because of the lack of a father’s guidance, love and support, she found herself seeking the acceptance and approval of others and a desire for material gain.
